Big Girls Don’t Cry…

Big Girls Don't Cry

I’ve been so focused on my ultimate road trip, that I completely missed my launch date.

What launch date, I hear you ask…and well you might too…

The launch date on Amazon for my second book- Big Girls Don’t Cry.

And because I missed the date (I’ll be having a very stern word with the marketing department…) I’m launching at the ridiculously low price of $2.99 (USD- so whatever that converts to in Aussie or pounds).

What’s it about? I’m glad you asked…

The spiel goes something like this:

Does goodbye have to be forever?

Abby and Brad are meant to be together. Best friends in childhood, they fall in love when they find each other again years later. Yet when Brad proposes, Abby says no – and is distraught when Brad leaves Melbourne, and her.

What’s holding Abby back from being with Brad? All she knows is that it has something to do with what happened to her father in Bali nearly twenty-five years ago. But when Abby goes searching for answers, she finds out much more than she bargained for.

Funny and poignant, Big Girls Don’t Cry is a story about families, about the lies people tell to protect themselves and those they love, and about how dealing with yesterday can help you find love in tomorrow.

Those of you who have read Baby, It’s You might even recognise a couple of characters from that book…but it is completely stand alone. I loved loved loved writing this book- although the first draft happened so quickly, it almost wrote itself. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Anyways, I’m in London at the moment, and it was my friend who’d come over from France to spend a couple of days with me who reminded me yesterday. Naturally, we celebrated with a few (not so) quiet ones.

How do you get it? From Amazon…and soon on ibooks. Do you need a kindle to read it? Nope. The kindle app is available for free from either iTunes or the android equivalent, which means you can read it on your laptop, iPad, tablet or phone.

  1. I bought it as soon as you mentioned it and read it the next day (babysat that night so couldn’t read it then!). I loved it and will be posting a short review on the blog – even though I’m having a blogging break!

    1. I really do appreciate it. I’d scheduled it about a month ago on Amazon and then decided to do the marketing when I got home.

      1. I’m actually in the midst of writing the review now. Struggling to explain what I like so much about it. Started the review yesterday and am now trying to finalise!
