The Weekly Ramble

I’ve been mucking about in the background changing how and when I blog and am in the process of moving some of it across to Substack as a quasi weekly newsletter of sorts.

Don’t worry; I have no intention of charging for it – it’s a newsletter, and newsletters should (in my view) be free. If I branch into something else, e.g. use it to write that recipe book about scones I’ve been prattling on about forever, that’s a different matter. But we’ll deal with that if and when we come to it.

Anyway, it’s The Rambler, and it is what it says on the tin—a rambling post about whatever I’ve been writing, researching, crawling down rabbit holes after, or baking. You’ll find it here. This week’s episode – Abstract Art, I could do that – is here. I also intend to write about the writing process here – tips, hints, cries for help … that sort of thing, so if you’re interested … you know the drill.

I’ll still be posting regularly here with:

  • Book posts
  • Travel posts
  • What’s On Your Calendar
  • What’s on Your Plate

Alrighty, you’re all caught up, so as you were …

    1. I saw your subscription come through. I’m trying to streamline things from an audience viewpoint and want to write more about writing, so will give this a go and see how we go with it. I’d been losing my blogging mojo a tad so let’s see …

  1. I do follow you on Substack so will see you there on occasion. I don’t check in often on it unlike here. Glad you will still be around here. No wonder you might be losing your blog MOJO– you are writing a LOT!!

    1. I’m actually writing less than I was, say, 6 months ago, but I am writing differently. I am hoping to get into a twice-a-week rhythm if possible. Who knows how long it will be before I decide to streamline again…
