According to Goodreads, I read 117 books in 2024. Most were physical books borrowed from the library, some I listened to as audiobooks while driving or walking, some I read on my Kindle or iPad, and some I purchased at airports (in my view, it’s the law to buy a book at the airport).
At 900-odd pages, the longest was Anna Karenina, and the shortest, at 119 pages, was another classic, Cheerful Weather For The Wedding.
Anyways, as I did last year, the year before that and the year before that and … you get the idea … I’ve completed my annual bookish round-up. You’ll find the post on my Substack – don’t worry, it’s free to read. Grab a brew and settle down – it’s quite the read (no pun intended).

Well done!! Some of the best books I’ve bought were at an airport.
I totally agree.
Have mercy, girlfriend. You and Jennifer Jones are so kind of readers. I met my Goodreads goal. Yay me?? But it was half of the total you read. Off to Substack to check out the deets.
You make me laugh! This year my resolution is to read a lot less! Let’s see how I go with that!
