It’s jacaranda time!
When Sarah was little she used to call these beautiful blooms “fairy flowers”. It’s how I still think of them. This isn’t the sharpest photo I’ve ever taken of jacs, but I think the blur adds to the fairy flower idea.
I’m joining in with Becky B’s square challenge again this month. This month we can choose from past square themes and I’m filling my squares with some of my favourite flower pics. Feel free to skim on by…I won’t take it personally. You’ll find Becky’s most recent pic here.
Stunning photo! You are incredibly talented!
awww shucks
I love our jacarandas! Sometimes we get a little bloom in the fall (as it is now here in SoCal), but spring is when they are magical. Enjoy!
There’s no other colour quite like it.
oh that’s such a great name for them 🧚
Those are so pretty!
Thanks!
I love Sarah’s name for them and I think it’s a fabulous photo!
Thanks!
They are like fairy flowers aren’t they? I loved living at Kangaroo Point in Brisbane as Jacaranda Trees lined Main Street and many other parts of the suburb. The only problem is the flowers fall too quickly don’t they? They do make a lovely carpet though. Beautiful photox
They fall so quickly – and usually coincide with the start of storm season.
Hard to get that close up. Beautifully done.
Thanks!
Just beautiful Jo!
Thanks!
Beautiful photo. My favorite color! 🙂
