Today’s tree comes to you from Curbar Edge in The Peak district of Derbyshire on a cold December day. It had snowed overnight and, indeed, we had more come down while we were having morning tea in Bakewell and later that day as we drove around Castleton.
At this moment, though, the sun broke through and the view was glorious.
Becky’s Squares and the July Challenge
I’m new to the Becky’s Squares themes, but it’s a tad timely as I go searching for my lost creative mojo and also an excuse to trawl back through old pics (and crop them into squares). This month’s theme is (in case you haven’t guessed) trees.
The idea is to post a pic a day – not sure whether I’ll do that…but then again. If you get bored, simply skim by – I won’t be offended…this is all about amusing myself. Anyways, here’s a link to Becky’s post today.
Oh wow! The view of those fields is stunning.
Thanks Ang.
I love that view of the fields and that bright blue sky is beautiful!
Thanks. I love the blue of the sky on a cold day.
Ooo, I like the word trawl. Good word. I trawled back through pictures from last year for my first tree square. Fun photo challenge. Your tree is looks like the branches were caught in a strong wind and froze that way on that wintry day.
Trawl is one of my fave words too.
I’m loving all your trees Jo as they take me to so many fabulous places just by clicking and reading! Thanks 🙂
I can’t believe how many pictures of trees I’ve taken over the years.
what a stunning #TreeSquare, perfect view. Could almost be there standing with you
Thanks.
Another awesome shot. I can actually feel the cold radiating through the photograph!
Thanks. It was flipping freezing.
