Okay, I’m running a bit behind this week, so let’s jump straight into it…5 things that made me smile last week. And, for a change, this week I’ll be letting my photos do the talking.
View from my morning coffee

My lunchtime walks
The capacity of my dog to help with everything #workingdog

This book

The 7 day challenge – my world in black & white

The lillies at my front door

Celebrating hubby’s birthday with a breakfast barbecue in the park
Lunch at The Boatshed
Okay, that was my week…how was yours?
All lovely. And I realise of course they are your highlights. There’d be a lot of crap in between. It’s all about balance isn’t it?!
It sure is. It’s why I concentrate on the good stuff wherever possible – not to curate my life (although goodness knows it needs curating at times) but to help me stay positive.
There’s something about looking at the world as you enjoy that first coffee of the day!

There sure is. Have a great week.
Hi, Jo – I love the view from your morning coffee. I also especially enjoyed your black and white photo — stunning!!
Wishing a happy (belated) birthday to your husband.
Thanks Donna…have a great week.
Gorgeous pics Jo – loved the lillies and I’ve been enjoying all the B&W pics popping up on my FB feed lately. Glad I’m not part of the challenge, but they’ve been fun to see. And happy birthday to your hub – it’s mine next Monday – and I’ll have to start owning the fact that I’m officially in my LATE 50’s when I get there…..sigh….
I’m loving everyone’s B&W images – there’s so much depth in them. Have a great week.
Such fabulous pics – looks like hubby had a very delicious and sunny birthday weekend! Nom,nom!
It was a very yummy birthday…
Gorgeous photos, Jo, and your dog is too cute. 488 rules for life? I’m intrigued. #lifethisweek
My daughter thinks my dog is my favoured child…and sometimes she’s right lol. The 488 rules is very tongue in cheek – just the way I like it.
Most rules are made to be broken. 488 of them now that would be interesting 🙂 The flowers are lovely.
It’s so funny – and tongue in cheek as, indeed, all good rules should be. Kitty Flanigan is an Aussie comedian and this all came from a sketch she did on a weekly comedy news show where she was taking off a serious book titled 12 rules to life.
I will look out for the book, sounds like a fun read.
I loved Kitty’s book of rules, it was a fun lighthearted with many useful and right rules for life 🙂 . Your pics are stunning Jo! Happy birthday to your husband. It’s been a busy week so far and I’m only up to Tuesday! #lifethisweek
I nodded at so many…:)
Hi Jo, I drool over your photos they always start my day well. Last week I heard Kitty Flannagan being interviewed about her book on the ABC radio. I hadn’t heard of it but I’m hoping to get a copy and look at life with more emphasis on being light hearted and not taking life too seriously. Have a great week. xx
It’s so tongue in cheek – as all good rules books should be.
So much beauty and variety there Jo. I hope it’s continued to be a good week. Your pooch is so helpful….
Thanks for linking up for #lifethisweek. Next week’s optional prompt is 44/51 Colours I Love 4/11/19 and I hope to see you link up then too. Denyse.
Always love your photos. You morning coffee view is amazing! 🙂 Hope your week has been good!
and likewise…re the week, that is…
Dad gum it, my week sure didn’t look like that!! Beautiful photos. Love the black and white. You have quite the green thumb, friend. Those lilies are evidence of that. Need to check out that book. Sounds like a fun read. I could use something light and fun right now.
