friday five: the 2012 round up

me at Eucumbene...
me at Eucumbene…

This is my last Friday Five for the year, so it’s fitting that it takes the form of a best of.

In many ways it’s been a surprising year. In many ways it’s been a rewarding year. In many ways it’s been a disappointing year. And in many ways it’s been a sad year. I’ve written about much of it here, and kept more still here (taps head).

As 2012 draws to a close, I have, on balance, still more to be grateful for than the alternative. To be honest, I’m refusing to think of the alternative.

So, without further ado…

The WOW moment of the year

Dawn and a balloon ride in March in the Hunter Valley.

Words can not describe how incredibly noisy, how incredibly peaceful and how incredibly wonderful this experience was.

The Party of the year

Coincidentally held in the location of the year.

The Spice Bar in Mooloolaba. I don’t think I blogged it, but my review for Trip Advisor is here.

The bonfire my uncle built for us to light at Eucumbene in August. What can I say? The post is here.

Thankyou to all of you, for sharing this year with me. I wish each of you good fortune, prosperity, health and love for the coming year.

  1. Oh, I love that first photo of you. You look very relaxed and happy! (As you do in the last one, but I’d seen that one before.)

Thanks for sharing in 2012 and being supportive of me and my writing as well. Here’s to a fabulous 2013 for both of us!!!

    xx
