bridge running…the sequel

Everything still hurts.

My shins are a constant ache and my left ankle is decidedly vice like.

The best that can be said for the day is that the sun was shining, the scenery was amazing and I made it over the line at the end when at the 2k mark, that looked doubtful.

As you can see from this photo, most of the field was in front of me, but hey, with 16000 odd runners, most of who actually did run, not “run”, there was always going to be a lot of people ahead of me.

Suffice to say, I swore I’d never do it again, I’ll never run again. I suspect that won’t be true for long. For now though, I’m swimming laps- at least until my ankle feels a little more stable.

  1. You took your camera on the run? What commitment to your blog and readers! Good on ya for doing the run. I’d love to do the City to Surf again. I did it in 2001 and was quite chuffed with myself!

    1. Glad you recognised the commitment ๐Ÿ™‚ Lol, at the pace I move, there’s not a lot of danger in slowing to take a shot… ๐Ÿ™‚
